Inishbofin is a small island set in the wild splendor of Connemara, amid the magical beauty of sea and mountains. It is far removed from the daily distractions of the mainland. The Island provides the perfect getaway for families looking to rediscover nature. It has around 160 inhabitants and is a popular tourist destination. Located 10km west of Cleggan (30 minutes by ferry), Inishbofin features all the best that Connemara has to offer; a rich history, stunning Atlantic coast scenery, spectacular walks and ‘Green Coast’ award winning beaches with crystal clear water, scuba diving, angling, bird watching, an equestrian centre and boat tours.

The island is also famous for its musical heritage and it continues to be a haven for music lovers. There are two bars Days and Murrays along with other venues there is hardly a week goes by without some great music or arts performance.
