Ideal for Families, New for 2019 €550 to €840 per week
Inishbofin is a small island set in the wild splendor of Connemara, amid the magical beauty of sea and mountains. It is far removed from the daily distractions of the mainland. The Island provides the perfect getaway for families looking to rediscover nature. It has around 160 inhabitants and is a popular tourist destination. Located 10km west of Cleggan (30 minutes by ferry), Inishbofin features all the best that Connemara has to offer; a rich history, stunning Atlantic coast scenery, spectacular walks and ‘Green Coast’ award winning beaches with crystal clear water, scuba diving, angling, bird watching, an equestrian centre and boat tours.
The island is a special area of conservation largely due to it being a breeding area for many species of birds and is one of the rare places in Ireland where the threatened Corncrake can still be heard calling.
The island is also famous for its musical heritage and it continues to be a haven for music lovers.
It is the perfect place to explore and unwind. Visitors are guaranteed a warm welcome.
