Great Location, Sea Views €1,000 to €2100 per week
Garafin House: Located at the very tip of the Rosmuc peninsula in the heart of the Gaeltacht (Gaelic-speaking) area of Connemara, it provides an unrivalled combination of comfort and peace. This is a very special house with wonderful sea views and nearly a mile of private rocky foreshore to explore, Garafin House offers an outstanding base for exploring Connemara, or for simply relaxing in complete tranquillity. There are ample opportunities for swimming and walking, and for observing wildlife, seals and otters are intermittently seen in the bay below the house, and the silence is broken only by the sound of songbirds and curlews. Fishing for salmon and trout is available locally, and there are almost deserted sandy beaches nearby. Garafin House was built by our family around 250 years ago, with some areas extended in the 1890s. A recently completed restoration project has retained the best of the old features while adding modern comforts such as underfloor heating, wetrooms and wi-fi.
Inside: Décor throughout the house is elegant and understated with a mixture of antique and contemporary furniture.
