Connemara Green Festival:  The Connemara Green Festival celebrates Mother Nature, aims to raise awareness of the unique ecology of Connemara and raise funds for biodiversity projects. The festival is now in it’s 4th year.

Conamara Sea Week is a multi-disciplinary festival, celebrating the wonderful marine heritage of Conamara. The festival celebrated it’s 30th birthday in 2014 and has grown to be a wonderful and unique festival with something to interest all age groups.

Connemara Marathon: Run  a full, half or ultra marathon through every kind of landscape that Connemara has to offer. One of the most highly regarded marathons in Ireland.

Connemara Night Cycle: This is not a race but a journey, although it is timed. Starting just before sunset you will cycle into the darkness. This is the perfect landscape for night cycling. The darkness is complete and unpolluted but the full moon and the stars will help light your way.

Tour de Connemara: Starting and finishing in Clifden, Connemara the event offers participants the choice of 140km or 80km routes and will travel through some of the finest coastal, lakelands, valleys and mountainous landscape in Ireland.

The Alcock and Brown 100 Festival: Commemorates the centenary of the first non-stop transatlantic flight. The celebrations will take place in Clifden in from 12th to 16th June 2019 and will include a range of events, talks, walks music and more.

22 June 2019

Galeforce West: This is still the original and the most unique adventure race in Ireland. A 67km linear course starting at dawn on Glassilaun beach in Connemara and ending in Westport. Run, cycle and kayak this course for the ultimate challenge.


4th May 2019

Connemara Challenge: Looking to test your training or even cross the line for the first time in an adventure race? This is the ideal event for you. Sprint distance means you have nothing to fear yet you will still be tested. Trail and mounttain running or walking, kayaking and cycling.
