The FootGolf Association of Ireland Heads to the World Cup in Orlando

The FootGolf Association of Ireland is thrilled to announce Connemara Coastal Cottages as the official sponsor of the Irish national team for the upcoming FootGolf World Cup in Orlando. This partnership marks an exciting collaboration between two esteemed organisations and showcases the dedication of Connemara Coastal Cottages in supporting sports and athletes at the highest level.
This involvement came from an item over heard on Todayfm radio. The Irish FootGolf team representative mentioned that they were looking for sponsorship and it attracted the interest of Siobhan Bennett who has been associated with adventure sports all her life, and this was an opportunity to help an Irish team compete at a very high level so she contacted the radio station and the sponsorship was arranged.

Irish FootGolf is an increasingly popular variant of the sport of golf that is played with a soccer ball. It originated in Ireland and involves players trying to kick a ball into a series of holes on a course that is similar to a traditional golf course. The game combines elements of soccer and golf and can be played by people of all ages and skill levels. It’s a fun way to enjoy the outdoors and get some exercise while practising your kicking and accuracy skills.
If you’re interested in trying it out, there are many FootGolf courses located throughout Ireland that offer a unique and fun experience where the basic skills are easily learnt. FootGolf is great for players of all skill levels and ages.

We are extremely excited to be partnering with Connemara Coastal Cottages for the FootGolf World Cup,” said the spokesperson for the FootGolf Association of Ireland. “Their generous support is instrumental in enabling us to participate and compete at the highest level in the world. We are grateful for their commitment to our team and the sport of FootGolf.”

“We are delighted to be supporting the FootGolf Association of Ireland in their quest for victory at the World Cup,” said Siobhan Bennett of Connemara Coastal Cottages. “We share a passion for excellence, and this partnership allows us to showcase the beauty of Connemara while supporting talented athletes. We look forward to cheering on the Irish team as they compete on the international stage.”

At present the closest FootGolf is in Galway FootGolf Loughrea, but as a rapidly growing sport it will surely not be long before a course opens up in Connemara. In the meantime have a glance at the Rules grab a football and head down to Omey Strand or Dunloughan and see have a kick around, you may find that there is a world cup standard player in the family!
